Tuner kids, muscle car junkies and lovers of all pleasures guilty will be amped to hear that the fifth Fast and Furious movie is a go, and it will be named "Fast 5." The news comes out of a report from a film news and review site, and it confirms there's more to come from the car-centric franchise.

Last month Vin Diesel sparked talk about a fifth film, and now a new report reveals the "Fast 5" name. Diesel posted to his Facebook status page, "If 2009's 'Fast and Furious' was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and chapter 3."

We're not likely to be caught camping out for tickets, but we're not saying we won't be munching popcorn, hat pulled low, in the theater, either.

Universal Pictures has set the release date for "Fast Five", Box Office Mojo reports. After announcing their plan to make this fifth installment of "The Fast and the Furious" film franchise in early February this year, the studio eyes to drop the movie in the U.S. on June 10, 2011.

At the same time, Universal has also made an adjustment to release date for "MacGruber". Originally planned to be debuted on April 23 this year, the action comedy is now pushed back for about a month and gets May 21 as the new slot.

"Fast Five" will reunite Vin Diesel and Paul Walker who have starred in three previous "The Fast and the Furious" films (both actors skipped "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift"). They will reprise their roles as Dom and Brian who, in the upcoming movie, will be seen as fugitives and being pursued by relentless lawmen.

Justin Lin who directed the third and fourth film has been tapped to return to the same position for this "Fast and Furious" follow-up which will be produced by Neal Moritz, producer of every film in the series. Chris Morgan writes the script while principal photography is expected to begin later this year.

"MacGruber", in the meantime, is based on a recurring sketch on NBC's "Saturday Night Live". Will Forte leads as an American hero who decides to sign on for a mission to save his country with the help of an elite team of experts. He is joined by Val Kilmer, Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wiig in the cast for this Jorma Taccone-directed movie.

Development on the next "The Fast and the Furious" film is further along than anyone anticipated. In fact, it has sped past entry number 5 and right through 6.

Earlier today, Vin Diesel took to his insanely popular Facebook page to offer an update on the street racing franchise. Rather than one film being in works, there could be a second. "If 2009's 'Fast and Furious' was chapter one, what writer Chris Morgan just delivered is Chapter 2 and chapter 3," wrote Diesel to kick off his post.

"I have never been submitted a two story saga from a studio before... it is very exciting, and shows a commitment level that is hard not to respond to," he continued. "Excited about the sexy locations the filming of this sag...a would take us... this novel like story, that has twists and unexpected turns that is authentic, truthful and challenging to the characters."

Universal has yet to make any comments about Fast & Furious 5 and 6 but it would appear the engines are beginning to rev up.
